“I am Greatness” KLM Empowered’s inaugural Women in Leadership Imbizo 2018 approaches

Leading Skills Development enterprise and Private FET College, KLM Empowered Human Solutions Specialists, will be hosting an industry-inspired Women in Leadership Imbizo aimed at helping women maximise their potential. Taking place at The Venue in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg from 22-24 October 2018, the event will include an SABPP accredited “Leading Change” management skills programme (NQF Level 5) towards a qualification in the fields of business, commerce and management science.

Following on from the KLM Empowered Greatness Campaign, this Imbizo and its accompanying skills training is intended to benefit companies who invest in empowering their female leadership pipelines. Delegates of the Imbizo will be guided and motivated to embody #TheGreatnessEffect over the course of the transformative conference.

Held under the banner, “I am Greatness: Conversations with Purpose”, the qualification-driven Women Imbizo will run over three groundbreaking days, consisting of influential talks, skills development, activities and networking during which women who are leaders in their industries will learn how to harness their personal and professional power, becoming even more highly valued assets to their companies.

Outcomes of the “Leading Change” training programme include:

  • Creating a focus for Change
  • Strategic alignment – a key requirement for change management
  • Communicating organisational change
  • Managing the transition towards successful change
  • A change action plan

“The Imbizo is the first of its kind in South Africa,” said Lyn Mansour, award-winning CEO of KLM Empowered. “We hope and trust it will live long in the memories of all who attend as they head back to their respective companies with new skills, insights and inspiration.”

Speakers at the event include the likes of Food Network celebrity chef Siba Mtongana, Breathwork and energy management expert Dr Ela Manga and marketing manager of the salon franchise Sorbet Group Jade Kirkel. This is just a sneak peek of the exciting and inspiring speaker line-up that’s set to take Johannesburg by storm.

“To make a meaningful contribution and climb to the top of the corporate ladder today requires a hands-on approach that stretches further than qualifications and experience,” Mansour said. “At the Imbizo, we will provide women with the tools they need to improve skills and maintain the energy and focus they require to reach their full potential.”

The talks at the event are designed to be honest, raw and motivating. A highlight on the corporate calendar, the 2018 KLM Empowered Women Imbizo will be an ideal opportunity for up-and-coming women to gain exposure to industry leaders, engage in transformative conversations and grow through influential interactions.

“At KLM Empowered, we are driven to encourage greatness amongst all South Africans through education initiatives for the boardroom and beyond. We are proud and motivated to enrich the country by providing its citizens with the resources they need to achieve greatness.”
